Edinburgh: Where it all started
We’ve been serving coffee with purpose in central London since 2022, supporting people experiencing homelessness in the city and beyond.
Right in the heart of the Strand, across the road from Charing Cross station, our coffee shop is a welcoming, inclusive space for office workers, students, theatre‑goers and daytrippers. It’s run as a social enterprise and is part of one of the UK’s leading homelessness charities.
Free food here is offered through a voucher system. Outreach teams at our trusted partner charities pass on vouchers at their own discretion to people who need support, who can then come in for a takeaway hot or cold meal throughout the day.
We also employ people with a background of homelessness at our London coffee shop, through our Jobs First programme.
The cappuccino I had there was one of the best I've ever had in London, and the service was absolutely phenomenal. As I sat and savoured my coffee, I couldn't help but notice the uplifting atmosphere. It was heartwarming to see the promotion of small acts of kindness, such as paying for someone else's coffee or meal.
